The Oxford Tap has the Best Wings in Oxford, Michigan
The Oxford Tap in the Downtown Oxford Social District is the Go-To place for wings! They also offer a wide range of other delicious food and drinks, so you will find something to love even if wings aren’t your thing.
Entrances to The Oxford Tap
The Oxford Tap has two convenient entrances—one at the front along the downtown sidewalk on M24 and one at the back. A large downtown parking lot is behind The Tap, steps away from their patio and the back door. The patio is excellent for drinks, food, and fresh air in the warmer months.
Getting a Table at The Oxford Tap
You will find the Greeters Stand inside the back door, where friendly staff will greet and seat you. The half of the restaurant just beyond the Greeter Stand has a long full bar, a few tables in front near the windows, and a row of high-top tables along a mirrored wall. Around and behind the bar is another room with tables and booths for additional seating.
Inside The Oxford Tap
The many mirrors on the walls make The Oxford Tap feel roomy and comfortable. There are interesting bits of decor scattered throughout the restaurant. A Hammer Head Shark, Taxidermy Deer Heads, an oversized Coat of Arms sign, and many more. Feel free to look around and take it all in.
Full Bar and Full Menu
There are many beers on tap and a full bar, so you can find something you enjoy drinking or try something new. The menu has a wide range of options for food as well. We have had many different meals here and are always happy with the taste and quality. The portions are generous and shareable.
Tap-Style Wings are a MUST
If you like chicken wings, we highly recommend trying them Tap Style! They are so good! Tap-style wings are dry-rubbed and have a medium level of heat. The skins are crispy, and the meat is tender and falls off the bones. We always order at least a few of these when we go. It just wouldn’t be a trip to The Oxford Tap without Tap Wings.
Other Tasty Menu Items
We also ordered Mike’s Mac-n-Cheese and a Maurice Salad. The Mac-n-Cheese was very tasty. Don’t let the jalapeno discourage you. There really is just a hint, as the menu says. It adds a pleasant sensation of heat occasionally but is not overwhelming. You may remember the Maurice Salad if you are familiar with the old Hudson’s Department Store. The Maurice salad at The Oxford Tap is that same delicious salad. The ingredients listed on the menu don’t seem like they would blend well, but they sure do! One taste, and you will already be looking forward to your next visit for Tap Wings and Maurice Salad.
One visit will not be enough. You will definitely want to plan another visit to try more delicious food and drinks or keep coming back for your favorites.
