Sullivan’s Public House (lunch, dinner, drinks, Sunday brunch)
Truly one of the best Irish Restaurants in Michigan. Sullivan’s Public House serves authentic Irish dishes alongside American favorites. This family-owned business is a staple in the heart of Oxford’s Downtown Social District. Grab a drink to go after your dinner, stroll down the main street, and play some games at Washington Square or Zeros Arcade. For a great meal that will leave you questioning if you have been transported to Ireland, stop in at Sullivan’s Public House. If you want authentic Irish food, make sure you try the amazing Bangers and Mash or the full Irish Breakfast for Sunday Brunch.
G’s Pizzeria (lunch, dinner, drinks)
G’s is a pizzeria and more. The restaurant has many options besides pizza, but the pizza and the fried pickles are some of our favorites. They also have a full bar and are attached to Axe Social. There is so much more to do here than just eat. The waitstaff at G’s also serves you while axe throwing, curling, bowling, and more. If you are looking for something to do while you enjoy tasty food and good drinks, G’s is the place to go.
Gravel Capital Brewing (microbrewery)
Gravel Capital is a microbrewery in Oxford, Michigan. Serving up signature beers, ciders, wines, and seltzers. They have a wide variety of delicious options. We especially love their sour beers. Gravel Capital does not serve food, but there are options if you are feeling hungry. For a little something to snack on while sipping your brew, they have self-serve popcorn for free. If you want something more, there are QR codes on the bar and tables to order from Sick Pizza, who will deliver it right to your table from across the street. Several other local restaurants are located only steps away for takeout. Gravel Capital often hosts food trucks just outside the back entrance. If you enjoy sitting outside, there is a great patio in the back. Both Gravel Capital and The Social District have games that you can play while you enjoy your drinks. Gravel Capital has regular events such as trivia night, comedy night, and live music.
The Oxford Tap (lunch, dinner, drinks)
The Oxford Tap is best known for its wings and Maurice salad. They are both delicious. Our favorite way to order the wings is Tap Style. The seasoning is perfect. The Oxford Tap has many menu options besides these, as well as a full bar. They offer live music on some nights. There is an outdoor patio if you prefer to eat outside. The Oxford Tap is within the Downtown Oxford Social District, so you can grab a drink and stroll the east side of M24. There are shops to wander through and a social district seating area north of Burdick Street with games and entertainment.

This bright and cheerful cafe is in the Legacy Center in Oxford. Magic is the right word at the Magic Brownie Box. The sweets here are amazing. Large, decadent, and delicious. There are so many wonderful options here you will have difficulty picking just one. Thankfully, The Magic Brownie Box offers a variety of bowls, trays, and boxes of mixed treats, so you can choose a few to try and take them with you. If you like savory more than sweet, give their pepperoni roll a try and chase your treats and sweets with a coffee, cappuccino, or hot cocoa dressed to your liking at their coffee and cocoa bar. The Magic Brownie Box is within the Oxford Social District, so it’s right downtown amidst other dining, entertainment, and shopping options—a perfect place for a dessert after a satisfying meal downtown.
DK Donuts & Burgers (donuts, breakfast, lunch)
DK is hands down the best donut shop in Oxford. The donuts are freshly made and have the perfect outside crispness with soft, delightful insides. Our favorites are the apple fritters, the custard-filled, and the sour cream donut. The donuts come in two sizes, and both are delicious. They also serve breakfast sandwiches and burgers, which are outstanding. You can really venture on the wild side and try their Donut Burgers. The restaurant focuses on takeout, but seating is available if you choose to eat in. Drive in and grab your favorite donut; you won’t regret it.
Red Knapp’s American Grill (lunch, dinner)
Red Knapps is an excellent American restaurant located at the central stoplight downtown. They’re known for their burgers, but there are many tasty options to choose from. The Wildcat Burger and the Acheson Burger are some of our favorites. Red Knapps has a full bar with specially crafted drinks for each season that are delicious. If you are looking for the prettiest outdoor seating while you eat, Red Knapps has the best Old-World-style patio. You will feel like you stepped into a European bistro cafe when you sit out there. We recommend the patio in the warmer months and inside any time of the year.
CFE Roasters (coffee, sweets)
CFE Roasters is one of the newest spots in Downtown Oxford. They are in a beautiful white building styled after an ornate home. The wrap-around porch holds chairs and tables for sitting outside and watching the world go by while undercover from inclement weather. The original windows are beautiful, and there are cozy seating areas throughout the shop. If you are looking for a coffee shop open late, this is your spot. We love a late-night coffee date.
