Unique Tour at Koenig Sand and Gravel in Oxford, Michigan

We spotted a 🔥💎Hot Gem with one day’s notice and were able to check it out at Koenig Sand and Gravel in Oxford, Michigan. The company runs an 1100-acre dig site, which they open to the public for their annual Community Appreciation Day. Keonig gives away delicious free lunch from a food truck to all who attend. We saw Large excavation vehicles set out for viewing. Visitors could see what it looked like from the driver’s seat if they chose to climb up in them. Finally, they offer short tours in pickup trucks with drivers who work at the site. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Our driver answered our questions and helped us understand more about the gravel and sand mining business.

Koenig Sand and Gravel is doing a lot of construction at this site. The company is building a couple of new sorting towers, conveyor systems, truck scale, and office buildings.

We had a great time. If you are interested in touring this facility in the future, watch for announcements around this time next year. I found the information in my local newspaper, The Oxford Leader, and the Macaroni Kid website. I found the notice only one day before the event and am grateful we were able to take advantage of the offer. Koenig Sand and Gravel employees were gracious and helpful.
