Brian’s Family Restaurant: Little Diner, Big Taste!

Brian’s Family Restaurant has been a Lapeer favorite since 1988. Brian’s sits just Southeast of the railroad crossing on M24 in Lapeer, Michigan. The parking lot is often full, but the wait inside is short. Even if it seems full from the outside, give them a try. You will be happy that you did.

Breakfast All Day

We love a good breakfast, and Brian’s serves a full menu of tasty breakfast items all day. Breakfast isn’t just for the morning. They also have a regular lunch and dinner menu, but who can resist a good breakfast for dinner?

Busy, but not Rushed

One Sunday morning, we decided to drive up to Lapeer and check out Brian’s Family Restaurant for our weekly breakfast date. The parking lot was full, and a few tables were waiting ahead of us, but we did not wait long for a table. There is always a steady stream coming and going; service is quick but relaxed. Even though people move in and out of the restaurant, you don’t feel rushed when ordering or eating.

Clean and Cheerful

The atmosphere is clean and cheerful. The light fixtures over the tables are unique, and we particularly liked them. The old photographs hanging at the end of each of the inside booths are a nice touch. I enjoyed looking at the one at our table.

Our Breakfast at Brian’s Family Restaurant

The menu has a large number of tasty breakfast options. Gerret got “All Cracked Up,” which is sort of like a skillet. It has meat, potatoes, veggies, and cheese all scrambled up with eggs. Heather had the Country skillet, with meat, hashbrowns, and cheese, topped with eggs and then topped again with sausage gravy. Both were large portions and absolutely delicious. We both enjoyed them very much.

Plan a Visit

Brian’s Family Restaurant is worth the drive for a delicious breakfast any time of the day.

What’s Nearby

Lapeer has a nice Historic downtown lined with shops and historic buildings for walking and shopping so that you could make a day of it after your breakfast. The county Historical Society Museum is downtown. Some of our favorite buildings downtown are the Catholic Church, the Library, and the Lapeer Historic Courthouse.

If you prefer a walk in nature or want to add it to your downtown excursion, Rowden Park is just a bit farther north, and you can walk from the park to downtown and vice versa.
